Reg tech, big data, and business intelligence startup Ipseity.network needed a visual brand with website, logotype and marketing material.
They're targeting both governments, enterprises, and end users, and after some initial branding discussions with the team and extensive research of competitors, I felt the design needed to be bold with a clear friendly and techy feel, yet still give a hint of seriousness and sharpness.
For the logotype I wanted a clear shape that could refer to the company's innovative technology base as well as the BI functionality of the service - from vague haziness to sharp knowledge.
When designing the website and marketing material, I chose typeface Arvo for the headers to give a modern, strong look, and combined it with a blue, black and white colour palette. Yellow and orange red serve as contrasting colours.
I also decided on a design with lots of empty space and flat colours to give the impression of simplicity and confidence.
The logo went through many iterations before we agreed on an angular zigzag shape that's materializing from a blur.
I explored many different themes relating to connections, transparency in technology, data, and the IN monogram, and we managed to find a symbol that contains a piece from every of Ipseity's leading concepts.
The website needed illustrations to go with the copy and explain the company's purpose and concept. Data security, privacy, and business intelligence are all integral part of Ipseity, and I designed icons and images to follow that theme. Their idea anchored in data and sprung from concerns about privacy and hacking inspired me.
The floating orbs illustrate how the company keeps personal data private and safe by distributing it and returning it to the individual.
